Australian Timber Design awards Advertisements

Our client MudgeCorp had the opportunity to feature an advertisement in the Australian Timber Design Awards 2012 Annual - alongside a recent winning property that they had worked on (Glenworth Valley house).
It was the Architect of the award-winning property that received the award and we are pleased that MudgeCorp took the opportunity to capitalise on this win by acknowledging their important contribution in the construction of the stunning Timber Glenworth Valley house. This was achieved by having a presense in this annual publication - right alongside the article featuring this winning property.
As a boutique high-end Design and Construction firm Mudgecorp have yet again clearly made their award-winning standards and quality tangible through this accolade and it was our job to visually present this within this beautiful publication (ATDA Annual). From a marketing perspective this advert was about promoting and reinforcing the company's position as a leader in high calibre innovative design and construction (in this particular case, in the use of timber).
So in creating an advertisement for this well-earned publicity, we designed an eye catching layout that was inline with current branding materials and brochures we have designed for them. As we are in the process of working on their new brand logo - soon to launch - we featured a personal message from the Director of MudgeCorp (S. Mudge) and included his portrait as the 'sign-off'.
The advertisement showcases the timber-work that MudgeCorp did on this property - capturing in a few closely cropped images the essence of MudgeCorp's values (Care and attention to detail, modern and innovative design with high quality craftsmanship). In order to create an association with the article showcasing this stunning winning property - the copy included a direct message of congratulations to the winner.
Further we were able to substantiate this association and MudgeCorp's contribution to this Win with a direct testimonial from the Director of Sanctum Design (the winners of the Award).
A second advert was designed as part of this project to feature MudgeCorp and their unique selling proposition (back to back winners of the NSW Master Builders Association Awards - leaders here on the Coast in Innovative design and construction). This advert was featured later in this publication within the 'Entrants' section. We intentially kept the layout design of this second advert the same as the first to increase recognition of their brand and substantiation of their work through featuring their awards.
We cannot wait to launch the new brand for MudgeCorp so that we can truly create a strong and consistent brand presense that will gain attention, communicate their desired positioning in the market and provide the greatest chance for people to recall their brand!
We hope you agree that this advertisement encapsulates the fact MudgeCorp are award-winning, specialist builders with a passion for applying new innovation and living out the ethos that "No detail is too small to attend to". We at Visual Strategies couldn't agree more with the latter.
